Very interesting analysis, one cavate, there is no way that such reform could occur. The House and the Senate are unable to create a consumer protection agency for financial product. They cannot even agree to regulate CDS and other unregulated financial products.

Redrafting the U.S. tax code is a noble endeavor but no one on Capitol Hill or the White House could justify expending the political capital never mind trying to interest the public.

Status Quo is the way of the future for America, a legislative sclerosis if you will.
